Tell us about yourself and how long you’ve been with Optimal Dynamics.

I’ve had the good fortune of being in the industry for nearly 15 years having met some incredible peers and leaders throughout my journey. I’m extremely passionate about solving logistical problems for enterprise organizations and am thankful for all of the great folks that I get the opportunity to work with everyday. It’s been an amazing ride thus far, having now been with Optimal Dynamics for over 2 years now.
Can you briefly summarize your job?
As the Senior Director of Enterprise Sales, I own our go-to-market strategy and focus on bringing significant efficiency, utilization, and revenue gains to our growing customer base. I help manage and support our lean, but mighty sales team.
What inspired you the most to join Optimal Dynamics?
Modern technology, next-level automation, and leveraging the data points from many of the freight tech products I’ve sold previously to help carriers make automated and resilient decisions across their network.
What do you like best about our company culture?
Our company could not be made up of a greater group of people. Innovative, nimble, and collaborative are ways in which I would best describe how we operate. Optimal Dynamics has a true team culture in every sense, all working together to solve a really complex problem for our customers.
What is unique about what we do at Optimal Dynamics?
We have a level of AI-driven automation that is unmatched in the industry. We’ve redefined how freight planning decisions are made and our customers are transforming how they operate because of it.
What is your favorite part of your job?
Collaborating with customers, truly understanding how their operations work, and helping bring to market one of the most exciting platforms that is fundamentally transforming how our customers operate in an uncertain future.
How does your work impact our product, and, therefore, the industry?
As a customer-facing member of the Optimal Dynamics team, I have firsthand experience and visibility into what is needed in the field and the immense impact we make on operations and the industry as a whole.
What have been your biggest accomplishments on our team, and what was the impact on the company?
Growing the team, both doubling revenue and customer count year-over-year, and continuing to advocate for the significant gains our platform can bring - even in a down market.
How have you grown professionally while on our team?
Taken on a managerial role while continuing to drive focus towards our enterprise-level and strategic accounts.
What do you like to do in your free time?
I’m on the road almost 5 days a week, so in my free time I like to spend time with my wife, 4 kids, and dog. I also run a lot to make up for some of the gluttonous activity on the road and to clear my mind each day.
Can you share a hidden talent no one knows about you?
I have an innate ability to find the best tiki bar in any city that I travel to - it’s true.
What’s the best advice you can give to someone who wants to work at Optimal Dynamics?
Be prepared to dive in. Each person on the team makes a tremendous difference for our customers and our company.
